They stopped for a minute and their eyes met. Sweat was dripping from his brow and she quietly panted, slightly out of breath from the exertion. It had been a long time she thought, but now here they were again, just like when the children were toddlers. They got up from the floor and she straightened her skirt. He walked to the kitchen and fixed a drink. “I think I need it after that” he said.

She walked round him, brushing past his body in the narrow space between the cupboards. “Shall we try it another way?” she asked- hopeful that he might agree.

“Nah love, it’s not going to work. That ketchup stain is there to stay- we’re going to need a new carpet”. She peeled off her rubber gloves and put the floorcloth in the sink. The children were stood beside him looking sheepish.

“Sorry we knocked the plates over Mum” they said.

So the reason for this post came about last week when I saw this meme on Mummy 365 blog! Karin who runs the Mummy 365 blog has posted her own 50 Shades fantasy here and has encouraged us bloggers to come up with our own!

I thought it would be fun to post my own’Fifty Shades’ style story as practically everyone I’m in contact with is reading the book trilogy at the moment. The ladies of my Slimming World group have really taken this book on board and I found out today that when I have read the Fifty Shades books, there is another writer I need to read (Sylvia Day) that is apparently (and I quote) “even dirtier!”

My girlfriends really make me laugh- I haven’t even read any of the ‘Fifty Shades’ yet but through them I feel I have! I will read the books before the year is out – I plan to take them on my holidays!!

I hope you liked my ‘Fifty Shades’ story- maybe you have been there too?!
