I was delighted when an email from specialist childrenswear company Lucas Frank arrived in my Inbox. They have just launched their new collection for ‘little gentlemen’ which is positioned to compete with the likes of luxury brands Joules, Hackett and Ralph Lauren Kids but at a much more affordable price.
As I have a ‘little gentleman’ at home, I was keen to try out their grey marl hoodie and report my thoughts on this blog! Here is my son snuggling up in the Squirrel Point Hoodie in Grey Marl
He was cosying up like this as the fabric is really soft. My son is already lovely and cuddly, but when he was wearing this top I wanted to squeeze even more!
I’m currently buying holiday clothes for the kids, and amongst all the shorts and T shirts, I wanted to get a lightweight summer jacket for them for the cooler evenings, so this hoodie is perfect. The quality is excellent- thick fabric, double stitching, a lined hood and a handy double pocket at the front. As it is a classic style and colour, it will go with most of his outfits and the soft inner of the hoodie will keep him warm!
I haven’t tried to wash the top yet, so I hope it will wash well, but from what I think of it so far, it’ll probably be ok.
It is so hard to find good quality, fashionable clothing for boys- there just seems to be a lot more for girls. The range on the Lucas Frank website is focused on leisurewear from Tees to Polos, and Hoodies. The top I reviewed is priced at £29.99, and prices in the range start from £14.99.
The collection caters for kids aged 18 months to 10 years and is available online at Lucas Frank www.lucasfrank.com or from selected children’s boutiques across the country.
